How Do I Know if My Child is Anxious?
Symptoms vary greatly and can be confused with something other than anxiety or stress. Some symptoms of anxiety in children include:
- Racing heart;
- Stomachache;
- Dizziness;
- Sweating;
- Crying;
- Tantrums.
Anxiety also stems from fear. Some common fears that create anxiety in children include:
- School Fears
- Fear of separation from parent or caregiver;
- Fear of the bus;
- Fear of places outside the classroom (restroom, cafeteria, etc.);
- Speaking in front of the class;
- Bullying situations.
- Fear of an Object or Situation
- Animals;
- Thunder;
- The dark.
- Fear of Separation
- Being alone;
- Being at events where parents are not present.
